Many years ago, Jimmy Tingle used to tell a story about President Ronald Reagan who supposedly did not remember whether he had discussed the negotiation of the release of American hostages in exchange for selling arms to our enemies. Jimmy had advice for then President George H. W. Bush. He said if you ever, ever think about selling arms to people who hate us, jot it down.
