The growth of social media provides a number of opportunities for creating profile and being active on social media.  There are so many options, it can be overwhelming.  CIPHR prepared the following infographic called “The Ultimate Social Media Guide to Getting a Job.” This infographic provides good advice especially for Pinterest and Instagram but unfortunately neglects LinkedIn.

Perhaps the hardest part and the most important part of social media is engaging and interacting.  It is relatively easy to set up profiles on various social media sites and to post content or photos from time to time, but what separates the participants from the lurkers is engagement.  Respond to a tweet; comment on a blog; reply to someone’s post.
